IGM Omnirad EDB Photoinitiator

IGM Omnirad EDB is a high-efficiency tertiary amine synergist in the Omnirad® series, formerly BASF, designed for UV curing systems. It is not used alone, but cooperates with Type II photoinitiators to generate free radicals via hydrogen abstraction, efficiently initiating polymerization of unsaturated oligomers and acrylates, compatible with reactive diluents, ideal for UV adhesives, coatings and inks.

Features Of IGM Omnirad EDB Photoinitiator

  1. Significant synergistic effect - Cooperates with Type II photoinitiators to greatly improve photoinitiating efficiency and curing speed

  2. Stable hydrogen abstraction mechanism - Synergistically generates free radicals via hydrogen abstraction, ensuring stable and efficient curing

  3. Broad system adaptability - Compatible with most UV curing systems, can be matched with mono/multi-functional monomers as reactive diluents

  4. Excellent solubility - Soluble in most organic solvents and UV curing monomers, easy to add and mix

  5. Outstanding auxiliary performance - Improves curing uniformity, suitable for UV curing of various substrate

Typical Applications Of IGM Omnirad EDB Photoinitiator

  1. UV inks field - Various printing inks, improving curing efficiency, ensuring printing precision and drying speed

  2. UV coatings field - Wood/plastic/metal UV coatings, cooperating with Type II photoinitiators to improve curing effect

  3. UV adhesives field - UV-curable adhesives, enhancing bond strength and shortening curing cycle

  4. Graphic arts field - UV curing systems for graphic printing, ensuring curing uniformity and product texture

  5. Multi-substrate coatings - Assists Type II photoinitiators, suitable for UV curing of paper, metal and other substrates
