IGM Omnirad MBF is a high-efficiency liquid UV photoinitiator in the Omnirad® series, formerly BASF IRG MBF, chemical name Methyl Benzoylformate, light yellow liquid. It forms free radicals through molecular hydrogen abstraction, efficiently initiates UV polymerization of unsaturated oligomers and acrylate monomers, not recommended with amines, compatible with most organic solvents, excellent pollution resistance after curing.
Efficient free radical initiation - Hydrogen abstraction Type II initiation, rapidly initiates polymerization, excellent curing efficiency
Low color change and pollution resistance - Minimal color change after curing and aging, excellent surface pollution resistance
Liquid easy processing - Good fluidity, easy to add and mix, suitable for large-scale industrial production
Broad system compatibility - Compatible with most organic solvents and acrylate systems, strong versatility
Suitable for reactive dilution - Can be matched with mono/multi-functional monomers as reactive diluents to optimize formulation performance
Wood clear varnish - UV transparent coating for wood surfaces, pollution-resistant, non-yellowing, improving texture
Plastic clear coating - Clear varnish for plastic substrates, suitable for various plastics, ensuring long-term appearance stability
Transparent printing ink - Low color change, suitable for high-end transparent ink, improving print weatherability
Optical component coating - Low color change without affecting optical performance, suitable for optical component surface curing
UV curing coating - Industrial UV coating requiring low color change and high surface performance, suitable for multiple scenarios
