BYK DISPERBYK-2205 is a high-molecular-weight copolymer Wetting Dispersing Agents designed for solvent-based and solvent-free coatings, inks, and jet inks. It stabilizes inorganic/organic pigments via steric hindrance and charge equalization, ensuring uniform dispersion while reducing viscosity and thixotropy. Its neutral pH profile makes it compatible with acid-catalyzed systems
Universal Stabilization - Effective for both inorganic and organic pigments, including carbon black
Viscosity Control - Reduces grinding viscosity and eliminates thixotropic behavior
Neutral Compatibility - Suitable for acid-catalyzed systems due to balanced acid/amine values
Process Efficiency - Enables higher pigment loading in concentrates
UV/Solvent Adaptability - Works in UV-curable and solvent-based ink system
Industrial Coatings - High-gloss finishes for automotive and coil coatings
Printing Inks - Solvent-based flexographic and UV inkjet inks for packaging
Wood Finishes - Acid-cured furniture coatings with low haze
Pigment Concentrates - High-load dispersions for color matching
Ceramic Inks - Stable pigment suspensions for high-temperature applications
