DOW DOWSIL 1-6184 is a premium 100% active fluorosilicone defoaming additive, based on fluoroalkyl-modified polysiloxane. It has 50% fluorine, stays stable at pH 2-12 and ≤150°C, with 300-1,000 cP viscosity and 1.15-1.17 g/cm³ density. It cuts surface tension below 21 dyn/cm, boosts oil-gas separation (40%+ foam reduction), offers lubricity/chemical inertness for high-salinity/high-shear use, and meets FDA 21 CFR 176.210 for food-grade apps.
