Efka SI2008 is a highly effective defoamer specifically designed for medium to long oil alkyd resins, two-component epoxy resins, unsaturated polyesters, and polyurethane systems. It is also suitable for varnishes and pigmented paints, excelling in thick coating applications such as industrial floor coatings, mold and encapsulation coatings, unsaturated polyester resins, and both two-component epoxy and polyurethane systems. Notably, it can eliminate bubbles even in coatings thicker than 1mm while maintaining the transparency of varnishes, with a recommended usage of 0.3% to 1.0% of the total formulation.
Targeted System Compatibility: Highly effective for medium to long oil alkyd resins, two-component epoxy resins, unsaturated polyesters, and polyurethane systems, as well as varnishes and pigmented paints.
Thick Coating Performance: Excels in thick coating applications (≥1mm), effectively eliminating bubbles in scenarios like industrial floor coatings and mold/encapsulation coatings.
Transparency Preservation: Maintains the transparency of varnishes, ensuring no negative impact on the aesthetic quality of clear coatings.
Precise Dosage Efficiency: Recommended usage of 0.3%-1.0% of the total formulation, balancing effectiveness and cost.
Medium to Long Oil Alkyd Resins: Suitable for coatings based on these resins, controlling foam to ensure smooth finishes.
Two-Component Epoxy/Polyurethane Systems: Effective in these systems, particularly in thick coating applications.
Unsaturated Polyester Coatings: Ideal for unsaturated polyester-based coatings, resolving bubble issues during application.
Varnishes and Pigmented Paints: Maintains transparency in varnishes and improves surface quality in pigmented paints.
