Corning's FoamStar SI2250 is a defoamer for various water-based coatings and colorants. It stays stable under high shear, efficiently removes foam during application, and stops bubbles in processing like mixing or pumping. Made of modified PDMS, it’s used at 0.1%-0.3% of total formulation. Add during grinding or ensure full dispersion in final products for best results.
Designed for water-based coatings and colorants.
Exhibits excellent stability under high shear conditions.
Effectively eliminates foam during application and prevents bubble formation in processing (mixing, pumping).
Composed of modified PDMS.
Recommended concentration: 0.1%-0.3% of the total formulation.
Can be added in the grinding phase; requires proper dispersion if added to final products.
Suitable for a range of water-based coatings.
Applicable to water-based colorants.
Used in processing stages (mixing, pumping) and application of water-based systems to control foam.
