Honeywell A-C 8A is a medium-density polyethylene homopolymer wax with low viscosity, designed to optimize coatings, hot melt adhesives (HMA), and ink performance. It reduces friction, enhances slip properties, and improves scratch/wear resistance. As a rheological additive in HMAs, it lowers viscosity while improving substrate wetting and adhesion. It can partially replace Fischer-Tropsch wax and acts as an effective pigment dispersant in masterbatches
Friction Reduction: Lowers coefficient of friction for improved slip and surface protection.
Enhanced Durability: Increases scratch and wear resistance, prolonging product life.
Adhesion Optimization: Reduces HMA viscosity while enhancing wetting and bond strength.
FT Wax Alternative: Offers partial substitution without compromising formulation integrity.
Pigment Dispersion: Ensures uniform color distribution in masterbatches for consistent quality.
Versatile Performance: Suitable for coatings, adhesives, inks, and plastic modification.
Coatings: Improves surface smoothness and scratch resistance.
Hot Melt Adhesives: Enhances flow properties and adhesion performance.
Inks: Boosts printability, wear resistance, and gloss.
Masterbatches: Provides excellent pigment dispersion for superior color quality.
Plastics/Rubber: Modifies properties for enhanced processing and end-use performance.
