SMPN-638 is a premium semi-solid phenolic novolac epoxy resin in Kukdo’s SMPN series, designed for high-performance materials requiring high-temperature and corrosion resistance. Synthesized from epichlorohydrin and novolac, it features multi-epoxy groups, combining excellent heat resistance and reactivity, forming highly crosslinked dense structures.
Excellent high-temperature resistance - Novolac backbone ensures high thermal stability, slow thermal oxidative degradation at elevated temperatures
Strong chemical protection - Resists strong acids, alkalis, organic solvents and salt spray, suitable for severe corrosive environments
High crosslinking density - Multifunctional structure forms dense cured products with excellent impermeability and wear resistance
Superior adhesion strength - Firm bonding to metals, fibers, concrete and other substrates with strong interface adhesion
Semi-solid processability - Suitable for mixing, coating, pouring and other processes, easy to operate with stable molding
High-temperature protective coatings - Long-term protective coatings for chemical reactors, high-temperature equipment and chimneys
High-performance composites - Matrix resin for glass/carbon fiber reinforced composites, suitable for wind power and aerospace lightweight structures
Corrosion-resistant adhesives - Structural bonding and sealing for chemical storage tanks and ship decks in severe corrosive environments
Electrical insulation materials - Insulation encapsulation and impregnation for electronic components and transformers in high-temperature conditions
High-end laminates - Resin substrate for high-performance insulating laminates and copper-clad boards, ensuring electrical and mechanical properties
