Features Of Shin-Etsu KE-1370-A/B Silicone Rubber

  1. Two-part, platinum-catalyzed addition-cure silicone rubber system offering excellent reproducibility and low batch-to-batch variation.

  2. Ultra-low compression set (<10% after 72 h at 150°C) ensuring long-term sealing and mechanical integrity under thermal stress.

  3. Outstanding electrical insulation properties with volume resistivity >1 × 10¹⁵ Ω·cm and dielectric strength >20 kV/mm.

  4. Excellent adhesion to various substrates including plastics, metals, and glass without primers in many applications.

  5. Low viscosity (A component: ~3,500 mPa·s; B component: ~2,800 mPa·s) enabling easy mixing, degassing, and mold filling for precision parts.

Typical Applications Of Shin-Etsu KE-1370-A/B Silicone Rubber

  1. High-reliability encapsulation of automotive electronic control units (ECUs) and sensors.

  2. Sealing and potting of medical device components requiring ISO 10993 biocompatibility compliance.

  3. Insulating housings and gaskets for power electronics, including inverters and battery management systems.

  4. Optical bonding and light-guide encapsulation in LED lighting modules due to high transparency and UV stability.

  5. Soft-touch overmolding on consumer electronics housings and wearable device interfaces.
