WACKER Hydrophobic Fumed Silica HD H30RM

WACKER HD H30RM is a hydrophobic fumed silica (200 m²/g BET) for polar resin systems like epoxy/polyurethane. As a rheology modifier, it provides thixotropy and anti-settling in coatings and adhesives while enhancing mechanical strength, with 3.0-4.6% carbon content for optimized performance

Features Of WACKER Hydrophobic Fumed Silica HD H30RM

  1. Surface Modification: Trimethylsiloxy groups ensure hydrophobicity (pH 5.5-7.5)

  2. Rheology Control: Reduces pigment settling by 50% in solvent systems

  3. Thermal Stability: Maintains performance up to 300°C in silicone rubber

  4. Low Moisture: <1.0% water content (105°C) for storage stability

  5. Easy Dispersion: Tamped density ~60 g/l for uniform mixing

Typical Applications Of WACKER Hydrophobic Fumed Silica HD H30RM

  1. Industrial Coatings: Anti-sagging in epoxy/PU paints

  2. Adhesives: Thixotropy modifier in PVC hot melts

  3. Cable Gels: Dielectric enhancer for insulation materials

  4. Printing Inks: Flow control in flexographic inks
