BASF Disponil FES 27 is a sodium sulfate salt of ethoxylated fatty alcohol, designed for high-performance emulsification in demanding industrial processes. Its balanced hydrophilic-lipophilic properties enable effective degreasing of metal surfaces while stabilizing polymer emulsions. The surfactant maintains activity in hard water (up to 500 ppm Ca²⁺) and exhibits low foam generation during high-pressure cleaning. Particularly suitable for agrochemical formulations and metalworking fluids, it combines cleaning efficiency with environmental compatibility .
Metal Degreasing – Removes 95% of mineral oils from steel surfaces in<2 minutes .
Particle Control – Maintains polymer emulsion D90<200nm during polymerization .
Hard Water Tolerance – Stable performance in 500 ppm Ca²⁺ solutions .
Low-Foaming –<50ml foam volume after 5min stirring (Ross-Miles test) .
Biodegradability – >90% degradation in 28 days (OECD 301D) .
Metal Pretreatment – Degreasing agent for automotive component cleaning .
Agrochemicals – Emulsifier for glyphosate formulations .
Textile Scouring – Removes spinning oils from synthetic fibers .
Latex Production – Stabilizer for SBR emulsion polymerization .
