Clariant Emulsogen EL200 is a castor oil ethoxylate-based Nonionic Emulsifier designed for emulsion polymerization and industrial emulsions. It stabilizes acrylic/styrene-acrylic dispersions through enhanced colloidal stability and reduced interfacial tension. Compatible with high-solid systems, it is APEO/VOC-free, readily biodegradable, and suitable for complex formulations under high shear conditions .
Colloidal Stabilization - Prevents phase separation in high-solid systems (up to 60% solids) via steric hindrance
Broad Compatibility - Works with acrylic, vinyl acetate, and styrene-based resins without precipitation
Thermal Resilience - Maintains emulsification efficiency at temperatures up to 80°C
EcoTain® Certified - 100% active, biodegradable (OECD 301 E), and solvent-free
Process Efficiency - Enables direct addition to monomer pre-mixes, reducing production steps
Architectural Coatings - Styrene-acrylate dispersions for exterior paints requiring freeze-thaw stability
Adhesive Formulations - Vinyl acetate-based emulsions for wood/paper laminates with enhanced bond strength
Textile Binders - Nonwoven fabric coatings with improved abrasion resistance
Metalworking Fluids - Semi-synthetic lubricant emulsions for cutting/grinding operations
Ink Systems - Pigment dispersions for water-based flexographic inks
