SEPTON™ 1001 is a styrenic thermoplastic elastomer developed by Kuraray with proprietary technology. It exhibits rubber-like elasticity over a wide temperature range and plastic-like processability upon heating, boasting excellent heat, weather, chemical resistance and high electrical insulation for diverse material modification and formulation.
Integrates rubber-like elasticity in a wide temperature range and plastic-like melt processability, enabling flexible production and forming.
Superior heat, weather and chemical resistance, paired with high electrical insulation, adapting to harsh service environments.
Acts as an ideal substitute for vulcanized rubber or PVC when blended with polyolefins and process oil to form soft materials.
Can be compounded with tackifying resin and process oil to prepare adhesives with excellent heat and weather resistance.
Improves physical properties like impact strength of olefin plastics, and serves as a compatibilizer for olefin and styrene resins.
Automotive and electrical components, utilizing its excellent elasticity, heat resistance and electrical insulation performance.
Daily necessities such as stationery pens, toys and sporting goods, as a soft material substitute for vulcanized rubber and PVC.
Adhesive formulations, compounded with tackifying resin to make heat and weather resistant structural and pressure-sensitive adhesives.
Olefin plastic modification, to improve the impact strength and toughness of PP/PE and other polyolefin materials.
Compatibilizer for polymer blending, realizing efficient compatibility of olefin and styrene resin systems for composite materials.
