SEPTON™ 2004F is a SEPS styrenic thermoplastic elastomer of Kuraray’s 2000 series with 18% styrene content, featuring non-crystallizing structure for excellent tensile and low-temperature performance. It has low hardness, good flowability and rubber-like elasticity in a wide temperature range, with plastic-like processability upon heating, ideal for soft material formulation and polymer modification.
Low styrene content (18%) with non-crystallizing SEPS structure, delivering superior low-temperature flexibility and high tensile elongation.
Low hardness (Type A 67) brings excellent soft touch, matching the demand for ultra-soft flexible materials in various fields.
Good melt flowability ensures smooth processing in extrusion, injection molding and other plastic forming processes.
Excellent heat, weather and chemical resistance, no plasticizer added, making it an environmentally friendly soft material alternative to PVC.
Good compatibility with polyolefins, process oil and tackifying resins, applicable for adhesive formulation and olefin plastic modification.
Personal care products: Used in hair styling gels, body lotions and cosmetic soft components for soft texture and transparency.
Medical supplies: Applied in disposable medical catheters, soft gaskets and cushioning materials for low-temperature flexibility and biocompatibility.
Flexible films and sheets: Processed into ultra-soft transparent films for food packaging, baby products and protective covers.
Automotive soft parts: Utilized for interior soft-touch grips, door seals and wire cable fillers for elasticity and low-temperature resistance.
Adhesive formulations: Compounded with tackifying resins to make soft adhesives for bonding non-woven fabrics, plastics and rubber materials.
