SEPTON™ 2005 is a SEPS styrenic thermoplastic elastomer of Kuraray’s 2000 series with 20% styrene content and non-crystallizing structure. It features excellent low-temperature performance and tensile properties, high solution viscosity, no melt flow under standard conditions, and good heat, weather and chemical resistance, ideal for high-performance adhesive and polymer modification.
20% styrene content with non-crystallizing SEPS structure, providing outstanding low-temperature flexibility and mechanical tensile properties.
No melt flow under standard test conditions, high molecular weight and excellent solution viscosity for high-performance formulation.
Superior heat, weather and chemical resistance, maintaining stable performance in harsh and complex service environments.
No plasticizer added, environmentally friendly, and has good compatibility with tackifying resins, process oil and polar resins.
Can effectively improve the toughness, adhesion and low-temperature performance of modified materials and adhesive systems.
High-performance adhesives: formulated into heat and weather resistant structural adhesives and pressure-sensitive adhesives for industrial bonding.
Polymer modification: used as a toughening modifier for unsaturated polyester and epoxy resins to improve low-temperature toughness.
Sealant materials: applied in high-end sealants for aerospace, automotive and electronic fields with high adhesion and low-temperature resistance.
Coating agents: compounded into protective coatings with good flexibility and chemical resistance for metal and plastic substrates.
Electronic component packaging: used for potting and sealing materials of electronic parts, leveraging electrical insulation and low-temperature performance.
