SEPTON™ 2006 is a SEPS styrenic thermoplastic elastomer of Kuraray’s 2000 series with 35% styrene content and non-crystallizing structure. It features excellent tensile and low-temperature performance, high solution viscosity, no melt flow under standard conditions, and superior heat, weather and chemical resistance, ideal for high-performance adhesive formulation and polymer modification.
35% styrene content with non-crystallizing SEPS structure, delivering excellent low-temperature flexibility and mechanical tensile properties.
No melt flow under standard test conditions, high molecular weight with outstanding solution viscosity for high-end formulation systems.
Superior heat, weather and chemical resistance, maintaining stable performance in harsh and complex service environments.
No plasticizer added, environmentally friendly, and has good compatibility with tackifying resins, process oil and polar polymers.
Effectively improves the toughness, adhesion and low-temperature resistance of modified materials and adhesive systems.
High-performance adhesives: Formulated into heat and weather resistant structural adhesives and pressure-sensitive adhesives for industrial high-end bonding.
Polymer modification: Serves as a toughening modifier for unsaturated polyester and epoxy resins to enhance low-temperature toughness.
High-end sealants: Applied in aerospace, automotive and electronic fields for high-adhesion, low-temperature resistant sealant materials.
Protective coatings: Compounded into flexible, chemical-resistant protective coatings for metal and plastic substrate surface protection.
Electronic component packaging: Used for potting and sealing of electronic parts, leveraging high electrical insulation and low-temperature performance.
