SEPTON™ 4099 is a SEEPS styrenic thermoplastic elastomer of Kuraray’s 4000 series with 30% styrene content. It has ultra-high solution viscosity, fast oil absorption rate, excellent oil retention and PE compatibility, no melt flow under standard conditions, superior heat/weather resistance and electrical insulation, ideal for high-transparency gel, high-performance adhesives and polymer modification of high-end polyolefin systems.

Polyolefin polymer modification: Serves as a toughening modifier for PE/PP blends to improve tensile strength and environmental stress cracking resistance.
High-end automotive components: Applied in oil seals, engine compartment gaskets and wire cable insulation for oil resistance and high-temperature stability.
Protective coatings: Compounded into chemical-resistant protective coatings for metal and plastic substrates in industrial harsh environments.
