Clariant Emulsogen™ LCN 407 is a branched alcohol ethoxylate surfactant engineered for high-solid (up to 65%) emulsion systems. Its unique molecular architecture enables spontaneous emulsification of hydrophobic compounds while maintaining low foam generation. The APEO-free liquid exhibits exceptional electrolyte tolerance (up to 25% salt content) and thermal stability (up to 90°C), making it ideal for demanding industrial processes. Compatible with most ionic and nonionic additives, it facilitates formulation development in coating and adhesive systems .
Rapid Emulsification – Achieves complete phase inversion within 5 minutes .
Substrate Wetting – Reduces dynamic surface tension to 30 mN/m in<1 second .
Process Stability – Maintains viscosity ±5% under continuous shear (5000 rpm) .
Broad Compatibility – Stable in formulations with pH 2-12 .
Sustainable Profile – Readily biodegradable (OECD 301F) .
Industrial Primers – Enhances metal substrate wetting for epoxy coatings .
Nonwoven Binders – Improves fiber penetration in spunlace fabrics .
Leather Finishes – Prevents fatliquor emulsion breaking at high temperatures .
Inkjet Receptors – Optimizes dye fixation in textile digital printing .
