Honeywell A-C 1702 is a grease-like, low-density polyethylene homopolymer wax with a drop point of 90°C, designed for solvent coatings, sheet-fed inks, and UV/EB inks. It reduces friction to enhance mar resistance and acts as a plasticizer in paraffin candles to prevent cracking. Its amorphous structure ensures compatibility across applications while maintaining clarity in transparent formulations.
Friction Control: Lowers coefficient of friction (COF) for superior scratch resistance in coatings and inks.
Thermal Stability: Stable at high temperatures (drop point 90°C), ideal for heat-set processes.
Wax Modification: Prevents cracking in paraffin candles by improving plasticity.
Formulation Flexibility: Compatible with solvent and UV systems, partial FT wax substitute.
Eco-Safe: Solvent-free and compliant with industrial standards.
Coatings: Enhances abrasion resistance in solvent-borne automotive and industrial coatings.
Inks: Improves print durability in sheet-fed and digital inks.
Candles: Plasticizer for paraffin wax in large-volume candle production.
Adhesives: Reduces HMA viscosity and improves substrate wetting.
Rubber/Plastics: Lubricant and release agent in PVC and elastomer processing.
