DuPont Fusabond® E MB-588D is a functionalized polyethylene resin modified by maleic anhydride grafting, with both polar and non-polar groups. It effectively improves compatibility and interfacial adhesion between different polymers, compatible with standard polyethylene processing equipment, and serves as a core additive for polyolefin filling and blending modification.
Dual-phase compatibility: Maleic anhydride grafted structure adapts to both polar and non-polar resins, significantly improving phase stability of blending systems.
Synergistic toughening and reinforcement: While enhancing compatibility, it increases impact resistance and mechanical strength of modified products.
Excellent processability: Compatible with standard PE extrusion and injection equipment, with a maximum processing temperature of up to 310°C and high process stability.
Balanced thermal performance: Melting point of 119°C and Vicat softening point of 102°C match most polyolefin processing windows, reducing thermal degradation risk.
Outstanding low-temperature resistance: Brittleness temperature as low as -69°C ensures toughness of modified products in extreme low-temperature environments.
Polyolefin filling modification: As a compatibilizer for PE/calcium carbonate and PE/talc systems, improving filler dispersion and product rigidity.
Polymer alloy compatibility: Enhancing interfacial adhesion of heterogeneous resin blending systems such as PE/PA and PE/PET to reduce delamination.
Recycled material performance upgrade: Used for blending modification of PE recycled materials with other resins to improve mechanical properties of recycled materials.
Engineering plastic toughening: As an impact modifier for PP, PBT and other materials, optimizing low-temperature crack resistance.
Composite film adhesive layer: Used in multi-layer co-extruded film structures to enhance interlayer adhesion between different substrates.
