SEPTON™ 2002 is a SEPS styrenic thermoplastic elastomer from Kuraray’s 2000 series, a triblock copolymer with 30% styrene content. It features excellent stretch performance and low-temperature properties due to its non-crystallizing structure, offering rubber-like elasticity over a wide temperature range and plastic-like processability when heated, ideal for personal care, medical, automotive and adhesive applications.
Triblock SEPS structure with non-crystallizing characteristics, delivering exceptional stretch performance and low-temperature flexibility.
Rubber-like elasticity in a wide temperature range, paired with plastic-like melt processability for versatile production.
Excellent heat, weather and chemical resistance, plus high electrical insulation, adapting to demanding application environments.
Compatible with polyolefins, process oil and tackifying resins, enabling formulation of soft materials or heat-resistant adhesives.
Acts as an impact modifier for polyolefins and a compatibilizer for olefin/styrene resin blends, enhancing material performance.
Personal care products: Used in clear gels, hair styling products and skin care formulations for its transparency and soft texture.
Medical devices: Applied in tubing, seals and cushioning components due to its biocompatibility and low-temperature flexibility.
Automotive components: Utilized for gaskets, vibration dampers and wire insulation, leveraging its elasticity and durability.
Adhesives and sealants: Formulated into weather-resistant adhesives for bonding plastics and metals.
Films and sheets: Produced into flexible, transparent films for food packaging and protective covers.
